Alaska Buyer’s Agent Surety Bonds

A $50,000 AK Buyer’s Agent Surety Bond or AK Motor Vehicle Dealer Bond is required by the Alaska Commissioner of Administration, Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for sellers of new and/or used vehicles. The bond is $25,000 if the licensee only sells motorcycles. An original, notarized AK motor vehicle dealer surety bond form S-5701, in the required amount, must be submitted to Alaska DMV. The AK MVD surety bond must be in force at all times while the AK dealer or AK buyer’s agent is doing business in the State of Alaska.
